The Electoral College system has been used for over 250 years as the way of electing the chairwoman and Vice-President. It in instanter uses electors instead of people directly voting; this plan was successful, but as the country grows and varietys it is fair forbiddendated. I feel that the Electoral College system of electing a President and Vice-President needs to be replaced with a method that better represents the willing and ways of the American people.
As the Electoral College exists today at that place are 538 electors and to transmit the majority vote as a candidate you must receive 270 votes. Each terra firma receives a number of electors that equals the number of representatives of the House plus two for the Senators. During an election, individu on the wholey candidate on the ballot receives electors in each state that they choose. When the election occurs, whoever wins the popular vote in the state gets all the electors of that candidate. Many refer to this as a winner-take-all system, and it is in both state except for Maine and Nebraska. This is a well thought out plan of action for elections and I will admit that it has worked in the past, but to even better our growing country, it is time to change and adapt to the ways of the country and the people that the President ultimately represents.




When the Electoral College was proposed the nation looked very different than it does today.
